Launch imminent

We’re closer than ever to launching. I think that all the parts and pieces necessary to push out an MVP are assembled. I only need to review this last build, then the push to Beta users, and then the launch.

It’s nerve-wracking to spend so much time on something and believe in it to then hand it off to the world and hope that someone else shares that same belief. Hope. I hope.

When I started this, I said that I’d be happy if only a few people found Facet useful, and I still hold that in my heart. The time and the expense are worth it if even a few people can rebuild the parts and pieces of loved ones with this app; if even only a few people want to capture their kids and family here instead of on instagram or tiktok or snap; and even if only a handful of people find some kind of solace in remembering people here, it will have been worth it.

I believe there are other like-minded people that want a better place to keep their lives than what feels like complex, predatory systems designed to capture us and sell us to all bidders.

We will see.
